Deposit calculation

When renting a vehicle, we charge a deposit as security. This amount serves as a guarantee for any unexpected costs, such as damage, violations or other matters that may arise during the rental period.

The amount of the deposit is determined by two factors:

1. The expected kilometers: The previously estimated kilometers during the rental period
2. The deductible: The maximum amount for which you are responsible in the event of damage or other incidents.

By adding these two factors together you can estimate the deposit. 

By calculating this deposit, we can ensure that the financial risk for both parties is properly managed. Once the vehicle is returned in good condition and there are no additional costs, the remainder will be refunded to you.

The guarantee system offers both the tenant and the rental company peace of mind and transparent handling.

Deductible

1. Passenger cars

• Standard deductible: €800 per event.
• Reduce: Can be reduced to €350 per event for €15 per day.
• Drivers aged 21-24:
  • Standard deductible: €1600 per event.
  • Reduction to €800 per event possible.
• Flat tires and broken windows are fully covered by the deductible.

2. Passenger buses

• Standard deductible: €1000 per event.
• Reduce: Can be reduced to €400 per event for €17.50 per day.
• Drivers under 25 years of age:
  • Standard deductible: €2000 per event.
  • Reduction to €1000 per event possible.
• Flat tires and broken windows are fully covered by the deductible.

3. Vans

• Vans up to 11 m³:
  • Standard deductible: €900 per event.
  • Reduce: Can be reduced to €400 per event for €15 per day.
  • Drivers aged 21-24: €1,800 per event, to be reduced to €900.
• Vans from 11 m³:
  • Standard deductible: €1100 per event.
  • Reduce: Can be reduced to €500 per event for €17.50 per day.
  • Drivers aged 21-24: €2200 per event, to be reduced to €1100.
• Flat tires and broken windows are fully covered by the deductible.

Exceptions to the deductible

• Damage above 2 meters from the ground (or 75 cm below the gutter): Maximum € 1500 (incl. VAT).
• Damage due to reversing or parking: Maximum € 1500 (incl. VAT).
  • This amount cannot be reduced, regardless of the chosen deductible.
